TransPerfect, the world’s largest provider of language services and technology solutions for global business, is looking a Project Manager to join DataForce, our Artificial Intelligence (AI) department!

The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end and day-to-day management of our data collection projects, both remote and onsite. This role will work directly with a team of Schedulers and Moderators for a majority of the projects but they will also collaborate with Project Coordinators, Transcribers, Annotators and QA specialists.

This PM role will also take the lead in risk and change management and will communicate with teams at the Operations level in order to help procure the office space needed for our various data collection projects.

This is a remote position that will need to travel to new onsite project locations in order to initiate project kickoff and ensure the onsite team is prepared. Travel is estimated at 10 – 30% for this role.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Engage with recruitment team to ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Develop detailed project plans in order to monitor and track progress for all data collection projects assigned.

• Meet with clients to confirm detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.

• Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document project needs.
• Create training material and ensure that all staff members are trained.
• Monitor staff member performance to ensure they are meeting metrics and performing tasks assigned.
• Perform spot checks and quality checks on deliverables to the client.
• Coordinate internal meetings between Ops/IT/Recruitment/Sales.
• Review and analyze performance metrics and data in order to make improvements to the project (ex. monitor transcribers to ensure our metrics are on an upward trend).
• Collaborate with our internal payments team to ensure timely and proper payments to the participants who worked on the data collection projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data organization).
• Possess a start-up mentality.
• Ability to research components of client provide project specs (city neighborhoods, device types, accessibility to the locations for participants).
• Ability to work with MacBooks, iPhones, tablets and Android devices.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience (data collection or user studies, preferred).
• Willingness to travel 10 – 30% for project kickoffs.
• iOS experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience with JIRA and Confluence.
