Work Location: Remote
Engagement Model: Freelance/Independent Contractor
Workload: Approx. 10-20h per week (flexible schedule)
Start Date: February 3rd, 2025
Estimated Project End Date: April 9th, 2025
Compensation Model: Task-based, $10 USD per hour (throughput of 500 words/hour)
DataForce by TransPerfect is currently looking for Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic) Content Creators.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an innovative project to improve Longform text-to-speech AI technology.
We will consider candidates with a demonstrated writing experience through self-publishing, blogging, book drafts, screenplays, etc.
Task Summary:
- The content creators will be required to write original narrative fiction and non-fiction works (1000 to 2500 words per work).
- The topic, genre, and type of content will be provided by our team along with detailed guidelines.
- Included genres for fiction are mystery, thriller, sci-fi & fantasy, romance, among other options.
- Topics for non-fiction are health, wellness, science, and technology, among other options.
Types of content:
- Full chapters (up to 10 pages, approx. 2500 words)
- Short stories (up to 10 pages each, approx. 2500 words)
- Scenes/passages (up to 4 pages each, approx. 1000 words)
- Snippets (1 page each, approx. 250 words)
Example prompt: “Write content where the protagonist is a survivor of a plane crash trying to navigate a dangerous wilderness to safety”
Please note that the use of any AI tools is not allowed for content creation, all submitted content will be reviewed for plagiarism and the use of AI technologies. All work must be written entirely independently, and the use of generative technologies (e.g., ChatGPT and similar) is strictly prohibited.
Job requirements
- Idiomatic fluency in Arabic
- Graduate or undergraduate of literature, journalism, or creative writing or with proven experience in journalism, writing, or content creation
- Experience in creative writing
- Excellent writing skills in Modern Standard Arabic (grammar, spelling)
- Proficiency in English
- Attention to detail
