Spanish Linguist (Spain, Remote)

Work Location: Remote in Spain/Work from home  

Engagement Model: Permanent discontinuous employment contract; Full-time 

Language Needed: Spanish 

Expected start: June 2025 

Engagement duration: 9 months 

DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking a Linguist with idiomatic fluency in Spanish to join our team in Spain, working remotely on data curation and evaluation. 

Role Summary 

As a Linguist, you will curate and evaluate linguistic data, review outputs from speech models, and execute scripts for task automation. You will also provide feedback based on data analysis. 

Role Responsibilities 

• Curate and evaluate linguistic data with accuracy and attention to detail 

• Review and assess outputs generated by speech models 

• Execute scripts via command line for task automation or data handling (running, not developing) 

• Provide feedback and draw conclusions based on the analyzed data 

• Collaborate with the team to continuously improve data quality and task processes 

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics 

• Strong understanding of linguistic concepts such as phonetics, syntax, semantics, and morphology 

• Previous experience in similar tasks (data curation, evaluation, or linguistic analysis) is a plus 

• Idiomatic fluency in Spanish 

• Advanced level of English 

• Proficiency in French or Italian is a plus 

• Detail-oriented with good analytical and critical thinking skills 

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently 

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
