English (US) Writer

Work Location: Remote

Engagement Model: Freelance/Independent Contractor

Workload: Approx. 7 hours per week

Start Date: Immediate

Estimated Project End Date: December 6th, 2024. The Writer will have 5 weeks to deliver the novella.
Compensation Model: Task-based, flat rate.

Rate: $1,000 USD per completed novella (around 12,500 words) - covering all stages, including revisions after QA and client feedback if needed.

DataForce by TransPerfect is currently looking for English (US) Writers to produce publishable-level content.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative project to improve AI technology.

Candidates with demonstrated writing experience through self-publishing, blogging, book drafts, screenplays, and other related activities will be considered for this role.

Task Summary:

Writers will be required to work on 1 novella that totals around 12,500 words. Once delivered, the work will be reviewed in batches by a QA team and our client. If needed, Writers will have to work on the feedback received and apply the necessary changes to their text.

Your novella will need to be from one of the following genres: Romance, Thriller, Self-help, and Kids (aged 10-12).

Please, note that priority will be given to candidates who share samples of novels, short stories or other creative works.

• Writing Samples: A selection of different types of writing (articles, blog posts, reports, whitepapers).

• Published Work: Published pieces, especially from sites, magazines, etc.

• Social Media/Blog Content: Examples of content for various platforms.

• Any other relevant material you might have to show proof of your past experience.

The portfolio must be presented as a PDF and it should be kept concise yet comprehensive. Please provide 3-5 pieces of work.

Please note that the use of any AI tools is not allowed for content creation, all submitted content will be reviewed for plagiarism and the use of AI technologies.

• Idiomatic fluency in English (US)

• Graduate or undergraduate of literature, journalism, or creative writing or with proven experience in journalism, writing, or content creation

• Experience in creative writing

• Excellent writing skills (grammar, spelling)

• Attention to detail
