Work Location: Vancouver, British Columbia; on-site

Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday – Friday; business hours

Engagement Model: Employment; fixed-term/temporary

Start Date: 22nd of April 2025

Project duration: 3 weeks with possibility of extension  

DataForce by TransPerfect is currently looking for a Language Data Annotator with fluency in English to join our team in Vancouver! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative project to improve Artificial Intelligence and technology.

This role requires a high level of independence, adaptation, and accuracy – love of attention to detail will help to succeed in this role!

Role Summary:

The Language Data Annotator will analyze data in the language in question and identify potential issues. This data will be used to develop and improve the speech recognition capabilities of Artificial Intelligence systems. 

No previous experience or training in the field is required - we will teach you all you need to know.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing data in English  

  • Classifying and labeling information 

  • Meeting daily Key Performance Indexes (KPIs) as defined by management/supervisor 

  • Completing all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisor 

  • Developing natural language prompts that mimic human interactions, covering different styles (e.g., argumentative, narrative) and topics (e.g., science, history, technology). 

  • Reviewing written text that contains sensitive content. This content is text-based only, with no images or videos.  

Job requirements

  • Excellent listening, writing, and spelling skills in English

  • Eligible to work in Canada

  • Must be of legal age (18+)

  • Located within a reasonable commuting distance to our Vancouver office

  • Good reading and comprehension skills in English. Ability to understand guidelines in English 

  • Ability to meet daily quality standards 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Flexibility, ability to adapt and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently 

  • Ability to track, analyze, and report issues 

  • Good oral and written communication skills 

  • Problem-solving abilities 

  • Excellent time management 

  • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
