DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking an AI Project Manager to join our team in California, USA.

Role Summary

The Project Manager position is designed to utilize project expertise and technical skills to manage projects, budgets, vendors, client relationships and assist with problem solving. Project Manager overview the life cycle of data annotation, data collection and staffing projects. 

Role Responsibilities 

Project Managers are ultimately responsible for the quality of work, profitability and performance of their projects and day to day customer facing reporting.

Tasks of a Project Manager include: 

• Oversee all aspects of project (scheduling, testing, and management of all data, personnel, and resources) from hand-off through project completion to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery 

• Communicate with other teams within company, primarily Recruitment, Human Resources, IT, Development, and Operations 

• Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks 

• Review final product at various stages of process to ensure quality and accuracy  

• Create training material and guidelines 

• Strengthen excellent relationships with contractors 

• Identify and source new vendors with the right profile for each project  

• Research and resolve payment issues  

• Juggle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment  

• Create relevant project trackers to track KPIs and data points as defined by you and your manager 

• Create workflows and submit requests to other departments 

• Track project finances and timeline, ensuring project profitability 

• Train and manage team members and project contributors

• Keep project-related trackers up-to-date  

• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Established expertise in project management methodologies

• Outstanding teamwork and collaboration skills

• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Established competency in the use of business applications and collaboration tools including but not limited to Microsoft suite of applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and Google Workspace suite of products

Education and Experience

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent

• 1+ years' relevant project management experience or in other roles with similar responsibilities

• Experience in end-to-end management of projects

• Experience managing AI data-related projects such as e.g. Transcription, Data Collection, Annotation

• Ability to apply technology in solving business technical problems

• Experience in applying PMI/PMP management principles, methods, and standards

Preferred Role Requirements

• PMP or equivalent certification

• Experience in managing projects with crowdsourcing and remote resourcing solutions

• Experience working in a multinational/multicultural virtual working environment

• Experience in working in a cross-functional/matrix organization
